It’s because I know it’s one thing to daydream about working only for yourself; it’s another thing to get a business off the ground and build it. In fact, it’s a lot of work. More so while working a day job too. But my superpower is springboarding women side hustler entrepreneurs like you to full-time CEO’s with ease.

And I’m on a mission to make your leap toward or journey as a main gig lady boss as painless as possible. For 10+ years, I’ve spent countless hours mentoring impressive girls and women to now serving remarkable women (18 & over).  

I’ve always wanted to have my own business, but with being a wife and mom, juggling a day job and other responsibilities, I didn’t think it could happen. That said, in 1998, I decided to do it and took the plunge to entrepreneurship for the first time. While I’m thankful others showed me how to complete my agreement paperwork, I was left with the daunting task to set up the biz side by myself. After several hours of research and various calls, I was able to weave my way through. Unfortunately, I had to let my business go after six years. 

A few years thereafter, I launched side hustle #2. Before doing so, I went back to my trusty computer to research what I needed to do in case requirements had changed. Due to personal circumstances yet again, I had to let the biz go after two years. Fast forward to 2012. 

Life throughout 2012 was rough. In January, I started to struggle with more medical issues, and in late October, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. Due to my health, my 21-year career came to an end. Although I struggle with daily issues, it’s become my normal. On the days (or weeks) that I need to chill, I do that too. Believe me, there’s nothing more important than your health. Well, family is important too. But health is definitely at the top of the list. Fast forward to 2014. 

My family and I suffered tragic losses of loved ones. Between the grief and shock of these harrowing experiences, I spiraled out of control. That’s when I first met my coach. The help I received in the small groups I attended and also one-on-one sessions was a godsend. 

​I benefited so much from the coaching that I decided to give back. So in 2015, I started lending my time to help lead a local grief group, which I did for about a year. Although I was coaching in that setting, I realized I needed help in other areas of my life – namely creating balance. Thus, my quest for Mari 2.0 began. 

​As I carved my journey, I had good and bad times along the way but I’m grateful for all the experiences. Through the process I mapped out an action plan that successfully helped me take control back of my life. Feeling liberated and empowered, I enrolled in a coaching program. Several amazing programs later, I received three certifications. Thereafter, I decided to launch business #3. 

Despite being a two-time biz owner before, I was back at the computer performing searches on what to do. But this time my research was quicker, easier, and less overwhelming so I was able to launch my biz in lickety-split fashion. Thus, Mari Lee, LLC was birthed in late 2017. 

At the onset and up until recently, my focus was in a different area. But after being asked umpteen times how I got started and have been growing my biz, I knew I had to change my niche and help women like you instead. Thus, a company rebrand ensued. Since then, I’ve been focused on ensuring that the women I serve don’t go through their journey alone. I love what I do because it makes a real difference for my clients.  

I’m different than other coaches for two reasons. One, I personally know how stressful and overwhelming it is to start and grow a biz without clarity or help but I have been able to do both despite it. Two, because of my experience + knowledge I’ve gained from countless hours of research, and much trial and error, I save you time and headache while you make jaw-dropping progress. 

Furthermore, I help you without breaking your budget. While there is an inherent risk in business, you shouldn’t have to fork out thousands of dollars for simply learning how to make your dream a reality.

A Little About My Non-Biz Life

I’m a proud Wife, Mom, and Grandmimi with a wholehearted belief in the goodness of humanity. I tend to look at life through rose-colored glasses, while also taking time to stop and smell the roses along the way. 

​I love listening to music – mostly gospel or smooth jazz, a little smooth R&B, and some country too. When I’m home, you’ll likely find me in my lounge clothes, and with messy hair. (fyi – you’ll sometimes find me with messy hair when I’m out and about too.)

​As for me, it’s God first, family and loved ones second, most reality TV shows third.

My Official Bio

Mari (pronounced Mary) Lee is her first and last name, but people tend to say it as one word and she’s okay with that. She’s a proud Wife, Mom, and Grandmimi who has been an agent of change for the last 10+ years. She is passionate and dedicated to equipping/empowering women to become the service-based, online biz owner they’ve dreamed of.   ​

Upon successful completion of Multidisciplinary Independent studies, Mari obtained certificates as a Certified Life Coach, and as a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner.  She also obtained a Certificate for completing the Whole Heart’d L.I.F.E. Specialist Coach & Facilitator Qualifications, and holds an ExpertRating Certified Professional Life Coach Certification.

​When she’s not watching reality TV or glued to her computer or mobile device, you can find her singing along to songs even if she doesn’t know the words or burning the dinner – on the one night that she actually cooked, but still didn’t want to cook in the first place.

​​One other fun fact about Mari – according to her husband she knows everything. Of course, he’s not right, but she won’t tell him that. 🙂
